We had stayed at the hotel previously recently between 28 December and 2 January for a total of 5 nights. We flew into Vienna initially and were travelling onto Salzburg and Prague before returning to Vienna for a couple of nights before flying home to Brazil. Before arriving from home we decided to pre book the same hotel for convenience. We arrived for the second time on Friday evening 10th January and were pleasantly surprised that we had been given a free upgrade to a Triple Premium room from a Triple Standard room by hotel reception. They were genuinely happy to welcome us back and we were genuinely happy to be back as our first stay had been so enjoyable. They were extremely accommodating as they agreed to keep our one check in item of baggage with them free of charge while we visited the other cities which was extremely convenient for us. The premium room was very spacious and quiet with a view over the hotel courtyard and we were given a complimentary bottle of quality sparkling water. The breakfasts on both days were first class, as during our previous stay, with plenty of variety to choose from and the service staff also remembered us from our first stay. There were plenty of rooms between tables to move around. The hotel is conveniently located next to the Praterstern transport hub from where both the underground and S Bahn can be accessed which regarding the latter offers direct access to the airport. We plan to return to Vienna in a few years time during the Summer months to see a different side of Vienna and will definitely be choosing the Austria Classic Hotel Wien as our place to stay.

We liked pretty much everything about this hotel. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, the room we stayed in was light with a good view and ample space with a great shower, the buffet breakfast had a wide and varied choice to cater for all needs and it was located extremely close to the Praterstern transport hub so there was easy access to both the Underground and S Bahn train systems. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived at the hotel and were recommended an Italian restaurant very close to it which served great meals at affordable prices (we actually ate there almost every night during our stay!). The hotel had a small room where a desktop computer and printer could be accessed for 15 minutes which was great as we had to print out subsequent train journey tickets and this was done for a small nominal charge. We stayed 5 nights and were subsequently travelling to Salzburg and Prague before coming back to this hotel for a couple of nights before flying back home from Vienna. The hotel kindly kept our one piece of check in luggage FOC with them for the week we were travelling as we did not require it which made the rest of our holiday that much simpler. We plan to come back to Vienna in a few years time during the Summer months and will definitely be staying here as it felt like a home from home.

This is a fantastic hotel for many reasons. Old fashioned standards of cleanliness (spotless), friendliness (everyone greets you), and quality of furnishing (simple but good). The ethos of this family owned hotel was summed up by the photos of all staff being displayed on the wall. It felt like one team sharing the same principles. The breakfast buffet has lots of variety, introduces changes to the options each morning and the staff are constantly attentive to clearing or replenishing. Large selection of very tasty bread. The pieces of sacher torte were better than the very expensive version we boughg in the cafe at Schõnbrunn! Good coffee and tea selection. Just sorry I didnt get to use the sauna. The location is brilliant. 250m to Praterstern station that has all modes of transport converge on it, including direct line to the airport. Superb eating places within 200m from Mat's wurstelstand and Restaurant Mahlzeit (ridiculous low cost yet quality hot dogs and schnitzel). All told, this hotel is excellent.

When I checked in, the street in front was torn up with construction. I asked the receptionist if the noise would start early. She said it was possible and offered to switch me to a larger courtyard room for €10 extra a day. This was half of the normal price. The next day a different receptionist booked me a voucher for the hop on hop off bus because he knew there was a sale. Saved me some money. The staff were so helpful with maps and directions. Great location between two U-bahn stops. There are a number of good moderately priced restaurants in the same block. They provided me with ice to ice my bad knee after walking all day, and stored my luggage when I took a side trip to Salzburg. They were all so nice. Breakfast had all you could want. Would stay there again.

This is a fantastic family-friendly hotel! The staff, from incredibly friendly and helpful Leila at the front desk, to the lovely bartender in the bar, to the hard working and kind breakfast staff, they made our stay so wonderful! The room was very spacious, even with 4 of us sharing it, the beds were on the softer side but still quite comfortable, the bathroom was huge and actually had space for all of our travel toiletries. The breakfast was FANTASTIC!!! We all had plenty to eat (1 vegetarian, one gluten sensitive) and it was super fresh. It's also super close to a train stop, many delicious restaurants, and an amusement park! We stayed in 4 different hotels during our family trip and this was, by far, the best of the 4!
